Build a Salesforce Custom List View

While Salesforce has standard lists for all users (like "My Opportunities" or "All Opportunities"), you can also create custom list views.

To create custom list views to use in Dooly, first create a custom list in Salesforce.

Pro Tip: Any list view you create in Salesforce will be available in Dooly for you to add additional filters to. Filters applied in Salesforce will be grayed out and cannot be removed in Dooly.

Once you create a custom list view, you can open it in Dooly pipeline for inline editing. Salesforce views are identified by a cloud icon next to the views name.

How do I access a Salesforce created view in Dooly?

To access your Salesforce created views, click on the "More views" drop down within your Priority Views Bar. Select "See all views." A pop out window will appear, displaying your Starred Views, My Views (views you created in Dooly), Shared with me Views, and finally, Salesforce Views. Your Salesforce views are grouped by object. You can also search for the view by name!

Pro Tip: Salesforce "Everything" Views are unfiltered and can be a great starting point when building your Dooly pipeline views!

Creating Custom List Views in Salesforce Classic

1. From Home, go to the object tab that you want to create a view for (Accounts, Opportunities, Contacts, Leads).

2. Click on Create New View.

3. Follow the steps to create a custom list view.

   1. Enter a View Name.

   2. Specify filter criteria. We recommend choosing 'All Opportunities' and adding filters on stage, close date, Opportunity type, Owner, etc. 

   3. Select fields to display. This sets the field columns for your pipeline to start with. You can always further customize this in Dooly.

   4. Set visibility permissions. If this is a personal view, choose 'visible only to me', and if it's for a team choose either 'visible to all users' or 'visible to certain groups of users'.

4. Click Save and head back to Dooly to update in pipeline.

How to create a list view in Salesforce Lightning

1. From Home, go to the object tab that you want to create a view for (Accounts, Opportunities, Contacts, Leads).

2. Click the gear icon in the top right and select New under List View Controls.

   1. Enter a List Name and Set visibility permissions. If this is a personal view, choose 'visible only to me', and if it's for a team choose either 'visible to all users' or 'visible to certain groups of users'.

   2. Set Filtering requirements. Choose 'Add Filter' and from there filter on specific field values such as Stage, Close Date, Opportunity type, Owner, etc. 

3. Click Save and head to Dooly to edit your list in pipeline.
