Before you can report on goals, you'll need to create some, click here to learn how. Once you have a goal created, create a report using the Generic Goals Insight template and configure both the goal and the visualization as instructed below.

Goal Headline Reports provide you with a high-level view of your goal progression data by allowing you to select the goal or forecast variables you want to focus on.

Check out the big picture illustration of New Business Books to Goal represented in the Goal Headline Card below compared to the hover-state inspection of the New Business Bookings vs Goal Trend Bar Chart below. You're accessing the same goal information, but now you can choose which items to highlight without losing the ability to dig into the details at ground level in a bar chart.

Goal Configuration

Click Goal by Time Configuration or Goal by Person Configuration depending on the data you're working with, then continue with the Headline Goal Card steps below when you reach the Visualization section.

Hero Metric

Add metric you want to be highlighted in the headline card by clicking on the + button and selecting a variable(s). Only variables available to the current card configuration will be populated, including these goal & forecast variables:

• Amount

• Attainment

• Attainment Percent

• Gap to Goal Amount

• Gap to Goal Percent

• Max Forecast Submission Forecasted Amount

• Sum Forecast Submission Forecasted Amount

• Sum Forecast Submission Opportunity Selections

The hero metric will be the largest text in the card and displayed in your chosen Hero Metric Color (click on "Hero Metric Color" above the color sets to select the color).

Subtitle

Enter text, links, and/or variables as a subtitle for your card. This is often a summary of the data included and will not be as large as the Hero Metric. Add variables by clicking on the + button and selecting a variable.

You can even include Forecast data trend variables!

Transparent Background (optional)

Select to enable a transparent background. Unselected will show the card edges in the dashboard.

Choose a color set

Choose a color set to determine the color scheme from which your Her Metric color will populate.
