How do I use Report Tags?

Click on Reports in the left navigation menu to open the All Reports Page. 

What are report tags?

Tags are labels that are/can be added to reports in order to organize them All Reports Page, where you can search by tag to narrow down a report search. 

How do they help me?

Looking for a report around a certain topic? Tags prevent you from having to scroll the entire library or guess the name of a report; simply search by tag in the All Reports Page. 

You can see below we searched by the "won lost" tag and the reports page returned the reports with that tag. You can search multiple tags at once to really narrow down your search!

Out of the Box vs. Custom Report Tags

OOTB Box Tags: We provide a robust set of reports right out of the box that is cultivated based on common uses cases and best practices and we use one of the out-of-the-box tags listed below to ensure you can easily navigate to the reports you want based on a common denominator. You can search by report type and use "report templates" to find out of the box reports or "custom reports". The default report type is set to all reports. 

Custom Tags: When you create a report, you can add tags yourself. Maybe you continue using those listed below, or maybe your organization has a specific common topic that you'd like to easily be able to search for in your report viewer. You can create and add tags to any report in the report editor by clicking "add tag". Custom cards show in the "Reports" section of the library and will be organized by tag alongside the OOTB reports and tags.

Pro tips:

• Consider the searchability of a tag and if it would make sense for multiple reports.

• Consider the amount of tags you create, if you overwhelm your organizational system, it can become less useful and defeat its original purpose.
