We know your data and needs are always changing, which means your reports are too. Using filter pills to edit your report from directly within your report will prevent you from having to reopen the report editor every time you want to make a change; saving you time and providing dynamic reporting. If you haven't built any reports yet, click here to get started.
Editing Report Data with Filter Pills
Edit a filter
- Click the dropdown arrow in a pill to open the filter editor widget. (You'll see the same options you would see in the report editor, but with quicker and easier access!)
- Make any changes you want to see reflected in your report. To apply the changes, click Apply.
- If you make a change and decide it was better as it was, instead of clicking Apply, simply click "reset filter" to revert to the filter as it was when you opened it.
- If you'd prefer the filter not filter data at all, but show all the data for that property, click "clear filter". Click apply for the clear filter to take effect.
For more detailed instructions on editing different filter types, check out the different filter types.
Column Visibility
Click on the Columns dropdown to add/remove columns from showing in your report, the button will also reflect the number of columns that are currently showing. Click on the eye icon to show/hide a column, eye open icon = visible, eye with slash icon = available columns that are currently not shown. This means you show columns that don't have a filter applied, show the info you do have filtered, or any combination that works for you...see everything YOU want to see, and hide what you don't!
Save changes
Don't forget to click Save Changes after you make any changes you want to keep on your report. If you made adjustments to inspect data but do not wish for those changes to remain permanently on the report, simply navigate to another page without saving changes, then the report will be as it was before adjustments the next time you open it.
