We configure out of the box cards for common, useful reports so that you can hit the ground running without having to create every report from scratch. We want you to get as much insight as possible without having to do all the heavy lifting, but with no two business exactly alike, even our out of the box cards might require a little tweaking to fit your mold. This article will help you understand which of those cards may need a little more attention from you to reach their full potential.
If you find a card that needs tweaking, you can check out Editing Cards to learn how to make changes or see the example below.
Business Type Cards
Cards that specify a business type may not align with the business types you use. If you see a business type that doesn't match your business process, you can adjust the Type. Check out the example below to walkthrough what this would look like.
Examples:
New Business Closing this Quarter
Renewals Commit this Quarter
Let's say your company doesn't use the term "New Business" but rather, "New Logo". To adjust this report to your process:
-
Open the card editor by clicking on the three dots in the top right of the card
-
Open the Filter section and locate the Type filter
-
Where we show "New Business", your instance will populate the business types used in your CRM, so you would select "New Logo"
-
Change the title of the card to "New Logo Closing this Quarter"
-
Scroll through the card's configuration and adjust an other mention of "New Business" to say "New Logo", in this example you see the mention in the subtitle
-
Click Save or Copy, then Click Save.
This card now reflects YOUR business types but retains the other configurations and you didn't have to build it from scratch!

Out of the box → fit to your business.

Forecast Cards
Cards that specify forecast data may not align with your org's forecasting process. Just like in the example above, you can simply edit the card and adjust. For example, if your org's Forecast Category Names don't include "Commit", you'd find the Forecast Category Name filter, adjust to the category you want this report to reflect, update the title, and you're done!
Examples:
Commit at Risk this Quarter
Commit + Best Case Closing this Quarter
Stages
Cards that report on data by stage may not align with your org's business process and stage names. For example, what some businesses call "Stage 1", may be called "Discovery" by another. As above, find the Stage Name filter, adjust, rename the card, and save!
Example:
Average Time to Loss From Stage 1 Last Quarter by Reason
