The InsightSquared Revenue Intelligence Platform delivers unprecedented visibility and insights into your sales pipeline, along with data integrated from numerous silos (CRM, email, calendar, files, etc.) to provide a holistic view to ensure the most effective business decisions. But, how? Content policies! Content policies are configurations that are linked to a platform app and determine what to do with a piece of content, in other words, content policies establish the translation process of content between apps and the Platform.
The most important decisions we make based on the policy are:
-
Whether to ingest the content or throw it away
-
What authorization level to apply to the content
-
What content type to assign to the content, if the policy specified a content type (otherwise we use whatever type is specified in the content event).
Where can I find content policies?
Content Properties List (per app)
-
Click Apps or select the dropdown in the left nav and click Applications
-
Select an app
-
Select the Content Settings tab

Individual Content Property
Click on an individual policy from the list to open its detail window, and click on the Policy tab.

Content Property Visibility Authorization
Admins can dictate who is given authorized visibility of each content policy. In the individual Content Policy window's Policy tab you will see the title of the policy itself above an authorization dropdown with the options:
・Will remain private: only visible to the content owner
・Will be shown to authorized users: based on Content Authorization
・Will be shared with your team: shared with everyone in your org
・Will not be shown to anyone: completely hidden, even from the owner
The authorization level, or visibility, of each property is listed under Visibility for each Content Property in the Content Property list.

Content Type
Each Content Policy will have an established content type that will feed into the corresponding content properties

Next Level: Learn how you can further customize content by mapping custom fields (content properties) in Salesforce or in Hubspot.
