The Intelligence360 Platform adjusts to your business processes and makes establishing your fiscal start / end date easy. The Platform will adhere to your fiscal date settings in relative date ranges and forecast periods.
If your organization operates using a Retail Calendar, please click here to configure your fiscal date settings.

Setting Fiscal Start / End Date
1. Click here or go to Settings > Team Settings
2. Select the Team Setup tab
3. Select the dropdown for Fiscal Year Start Month, then select a month

4. To establish what your fiscal year is based on, select either The starting month or The ending month

5. Click Save
Intelligence360 will now utilize your fiscal year settings to determine relative date ranges and forecasting periods. Let's say you selected January > The starting month. Intelligence360 now understands that your fiscal year spans from January 1 - December 31, with three calendar month quarters:
-
Q1 = Jan - Mar
-
Q2 = Apr - Jun
-
Q3 = Jul - Sep
-
Q4 = Oct - Dec
Not everyone operates on a January - December calendar as we used above, using this setting allows you to customize your fiscal date settings and have those settings apply across the Platform for all your users.

Relative Date Ranges
Relative Date Ranges in Filters
Intelligence360 will calculate its date ranges based on the fiscal start/end you established. For example, when filtering by Close Date you can choose to filter by a relative date range, so if you choose relative > this > fiscal quarter
you will see the date range adjusted to reflect your current fiscal quarter. Any filter with a date range will adhere to your fiscal settings.

Reports with Relative Date Ranges
Think about a card like "Opportunities Closing this Quarter". This Quarter is relative to your organization's fiscal year and when configured like the date range above, will always stay current to whatever this quarter is in accordance with this setting. So when a few months go by, "Opportunities Closing this Quarter" will update its data to match the fiscal date settings without you having to manually change the date range each quarter. You can create this card once and it will always stay true to this quarter.

Forecast Periods
Forecast periods are based on your fiscal start/end dates. The period picker in Forecasting automatically populates your determined fiscal periods one period back and four quarters forward, showing both quarters and months.

What happens if your org's fiscal start/end date changes?
We know changes can happen in your organization, so what happens to your reporting if the fiscal start/end date changes?
If the fiscal year start/end month is changed - upon that update, Intelligence360 will delete existing forecast submissions made in Intelligence360 forecasting that will need to be re-entered. However, the historical forecast submission data will remain available in your reports.
