If you are switching to the service account having previously used this integration without service account enabled, first complete these steps: Service Account Setup for Office 365 or Google.
Next, you'll need to trigger a team-wide, full sync to ensure sync progress goes perfectly.
Triggering a full sync for Office 365 or Google:

Click Settings in the left nav menu

Click All Integrations

Search for and select your integration (Office 365 or Google)

Click the Connection Settings tab

Under Full Team Sync, click sync.
